Let’s Beat Breast Cancer! Foods for Breast Cancer Prevention and Survival

Event Details:

Half a century ago, the United States declared a “war on cancer,” yet current statistics predict that during our lifetime, one in eight women will develop breast cancer.

This class is part of the series Let's Beat Breast Cancer! and focuses specifically on foods relevant to breast cancer risk reduction and survival. You will view a science and evidence-based nutrition video as well as 3 demonstrations of simple plant-based recipes that can be easily re-created at home. Recipes include Homestyle Squash and Pinto Beans; Broccoli with Sesame Salt; and Mixed Berry Banana Smoothie.

There will be ample time for questions and answers. You will leave this class with a clear understanding of how food is medicine!
