Power Foods for the Brain

Event Details:

Plant-based foods are beneficial to the brain and may help prevent Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. A decline in brain health is not an inevitable part of aging. But how we eat and live can help us protect our memory and stay sharp into old age. Diet, exercise, sleep and much more can make a huge difference in brain health!

In this Food for Life: Power Foods for the Brain class, you will learn strategies for maintaining memory and improving brain function including how to prepare brain health-promoting meals. This class features a video, a discussion, and the opportunity to view a cooking demonstration. Recipes include Steamed Sweet Potatoes (Served 2 ways); Easy Colorful Vegetable Pasta Salad; and Chocolate Pudding. There will be ample time for questions and answers. You will leave this class with a clear understanding of how food is medicine!

Once registered, you will receive a ZOOM link and handouts a day or two before the class begins.
